Levitation Announces 2022 Line-Up

Today, LEVITATION - Austin, TX, has revealed their lineup for 2022, the thirteenth instalment of the festival. The celebrations continue to take place on Halloween weekend, October 27 - October 30.

As before, we will see Levitation acts perform at a multitude of different music venues across the city, such as Stubb’s, Mohawk, Empire, Hotel Vegas, Antone’s, Parish, and Scoot Inn.

LEVITATION, founded in 2008 as Austin Psych Fest, by members of The Black Angels and friends, became a global movement, with similar events developing in France, Chicago and Vancouver, along with ongoing events in Austin and special events in Europe and Latin America. Austin Psych Fest was renamed LEVITATION in honor of Austin’s psychedelic rock pioneers The 13th Floor Elevators, who reunited and performed at LEVITATION 2015 for the band’s 50th anniversary.

Throughout 2021, LEVITATION has released a number of live performance streams and live albums via LEVITATION Sessions. While doing so, the festival raised funds for non-profits and causes such as National Independent Venue Association, Direct Relief and Red River Cultural District. This included performers by Osees, Windhand, Ty Segall, Slift, Death Valley Girls and more, performing in unique locations and pressed to limited edition vinyl.
