Deliluh Return with New Single "Amulet"
Just shy of the pandemics heavy affects, Toronto art punks Deliluh took off to Europe to pursue a new path both personally and within their musical endeavours.
“Amulet,” is the first taste of Deliluh’s transition into Europe. “A” performed by their previous four-piece lineup (Kyle Knapp, Julius Pederson, Erika Wharton, Erik Jude) and “B” by the current active two-piece (Knapp and Pederson), is both the perfect comeback and farewell to their new chapter. Much like their past work, both versions of “Amulet” feature a heavy and glooming sense of fear, but with “B,” we see a new side to Deliluh. Adding in a more prominent side of synth, there is an undeniable new layer to their dark and ever so hypnotic, grainy post-punk.
Knapp: “It’s ‘adapt or parish’ these days.. We’re fortunate to be safe and healthy, and thankfully, we’re not afraid of taking risks or evolving.”
Pedersen: “It isn’t the end goal that matters, but what you learn while exploring the paths that lead into unexplored terrain.”
“Amulet” is out now on all streaming platforms and will be available on 10” August 10th via Tin Angel Records.
