I've been living in the United Kingdom for almost two years now. Homesickness comes in waves; on the one hand, I'm grateful to be able to experience the music subculture within London, but I also miss familiarity. As you can imagine, it's a genuine blessing when friends announce a tour involving London or the United Kingdom in general. It's like there's a part of home that comes with them.

Throughout two and a half weeks, I managed to see as much of Pottery as possible. I knew a few of the boys from back home (Peter and Paul), although did not properly meet in person until I sat down to interview the band for So Young Magazine's Issue Twenty-One print. Requesting to speak with the five men that make-up Pottery was one of the best decisions I ever made as it brought me a lot closer to some fellow creative Canadians. There were many times that I probably should have met the guys before; playing shows under Paul Jacobs' solo project, or the time Pottery opened for Parquet Courts at Danforth Music Hall, but meeting them all this past May felt like it was the right time for things to fall into place.

I found it a challenge to write about my time with the band, so please enjoy these photos from tour.
